Product Description
This version of the Tree of Life is a bit thicker and is domed, so it has a pleasing curve to the design.
All Creation arises from Gaia
From ancient Celtic Lore comes the concept that all living creatures arise from the Great Mother, source of Life and nourishment for all living creatures. She is depicted here as a vessel or pot, roundish for the earth which she represents, a cradle from which arises the World Tree, bearing the fruit, of creation, the various animals and life forms depicted here as buds with eyes on The Tree of Life.
This design is inspired by the designs in the Book of Kells, particularly the very ornate borders on this 13th century Irish manuscript painstakingly drawn by monks on the borders of its pages. The Tree of Life serves as a reminder as to our roots and our destination. As one of the highest life forms on this planet, we are but neurons in the web of consciousness that comprises the whole.
